2019 Holiday Gift Guide for Kids
Christmas is 2 weeks away and I still don't have gifts for my kids. Thank God for Amazon and HomeGoods. For those of you who are still in the same boat with me, I am here to make it easier for you. Here is our holiday gift guide for 2019. P.S. I included many learn and play toys to help build your little one’s brain.
Puzzle Huddle
Puzzle Huddle offers a wide variety of African American jigsaw puzzles for children. Puzzles provide a fun, challenging, and rewarding experience across a wide range of ages. Their puzzles celebrate diversity and culture. Each unique design will make great gift or addition to your home.
2. Khojo Kids Bow Headband
Of course our beautiful bows make a great gift for the holidays and it’s awesome for stocking suffers. We offer unique bows because all children are beautiful and unique. This also makes a perfect add along gift.
3. Leapfrog: Letter Factory DVD
I used this for my children to help learn letters and sounds. I swear by this DVD. You can purchase them on www.amazon.com.
4. Easel
Painting and drawing on an easel is awesome for fine motor skills. Moving the painting tool from the paint container to the easel surface requires focus and control. This activity is perfect for siblings.
5. Scooter
Scooters are so much fun. We got our son one when he was 2 .5 and he loves it. The benefits include: building your child's physical confidence and to develop motor skills. It’s a form of excercise and helps prepare your child to learn how to ride a bike.
6. ABC, I Love Me Book
This book is awesome for little ones. The illustrations alone got us hooked. Here is a fun way to read about alphabets and affirmations every child should know about themselves. You can purchase a copy on amazon.com.
7. SliceByCAKE
SlicebyCake have beautiful dolls that are fashionable in Ankara attire and perfect reflection of what your little girl needs to see in a doll. Beautiful, Brown, Confident, Intelligent and more! This is the perfect gift for any little girl. In addition, it is awesome to see dolls with the similar hair texture brown girls have. So many teaching moments and ways to build self love using their dolls. Buy now!
8. LeapFrog My own Leaptop
I am not a fan of tablets early on, unless it is educational and this one is! This tablet actually quizzes your child on alphabets. Cool, right? Def give this a try and let me know what you think. Remember, the key is to limit the amount of time on a tablet. Don’t let it be the only resource to learning.
9. water mat-Sensory play
Now that my children are a little older, this looks like a throwback to me. LOL. This water floor mat is awesome for sensory play. Sensory playincludes any activity that stimulates your young child's senses: touch, smell, taste, movement, balance, sight and hearing. Sensory activities facilitate exploration and naturally encourage children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore. I used this for both of my children from new born to about 9 months. w
10. Natural Hair Care Products
www.target.com
Are you an uncle or aunt looking for gifts to get your niece or nephew? This may be weird, but I personally would love this gift. Natural hair care products are pricey! Find out what products the child uses and bouncy curls here we come. LOL. This is a gift that most parents would appreciate. Trust me! My fav right now is Just For Me baby products. Love!!!!
11. Tickets to the musuem or Zoo
Now this would be awesome right? Buy tickets to a children museum or the zoo. This is such a rare gift, but def worth it. While your at it, add a gift card to a local restaurant. LOL. Kids got to eat too. :)
